My name is Robert Camp III. I am currently living in New Orleans, LA and working full time at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carré. I am a working professional in the Theatre Industry specializing in Lighting Design, Production Managing, and Event Planning. I have a B.A. in Theatre and Design from Samford University, located in Birmingham, AL.

 

Throughout my professional career I have worked with many different companies including: Alabama Ballet, The Leslie S. Wright Fine Arts Center, Birmingham Festival Theatre, Red Mountain Theatre Company, Opera Birmingham, Miss Alabama Scholarship Program, Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carré, New Orleans Fringe Festival, Marigny Opera House, and The Shadowbox Theatre.

 

I was the Co-Coordinator and Production Manager for Summer Theatre Camp for 9 years. Working with children ages 4-18, we would introduce some to Theatre and for others hone in their craft to reach their goals. Building Sets, focusing lights, to acting, we taught these children the ends and outs of the theatre.

 

So far most of my work has been centered in Birmingham, AL and New Orleans, LA. I would like to expand my partnership with theatres across the Southeast, and extend throughout the country.

 

Finally, I have recently rediscovered my passion for photography. I started by taking pictures of some lighting designs I did, and then expanded into other areas. Right now this is very new, but I am looking to grow this side of my business as well.
